I suppose we should tell you a little bit about us if you’re going to eat what we’ve baked for you. Here’s the scoop…

My mom and I have lived in the Mustang/Tuttle area for about 15 years, and I have been an avid baker for most of my life. We are very active in the area with Western Days and the Cookie Crawl in Mustang and the Christmas Parade in Tuttle. We love arts and crafts, and to us, food is one of the best ways to bring people together.

We chose to name our business “River & Root” because despite the changes and the hardships we have weathered as a family, we have stood strong. We strive to live by Faith, and when we were searching for a name the verse that we kept coming back to was Psalms 1:3. “...That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither- whatever they do prospers.” We plan to build our business up in this way with the roots we have in the community surrounding the Canadian River.

In the near future, we are hoping to open a Cafe to serve coffee and our baked goods to the community. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all ages, and to make a home away from home for anyone who needs it. Thank you for taking the time to visit our page, we hope to see you soon!
